Annebu Annebu is our most beloved cottage. It still breathes the atmosphere of some hundred years ago, when it was build. The exterior is made out of solid tree trunks, piled up in the traditional building way of around 1900. The house stands on a large pile if mountain stones and on the roof is a thick layer of grass. The inside has gone through some changes during the years. First it was a stable for cows and around 1930 it was converted into a hunter's cabin. Nowadays the interior still has a lot of those characteristic elements like small stable doors, wooden flooring, lots of sheep woolen tapestry and pilows on the bench, wooden beams in the ceiling. The cottage has room for 4-6 people. It has a living room with both an open fireplace and an iron stove. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a stapled bed. The bench in the living room can also provide sleeping places for two persons. The kitchen is fully equipped with hot and cold water, four electric plates, a refrigerator and a small oven. There is a toilet and a typical round Norwegian shower cabin made out of wood. more pictures |
